Nah, he should just wait a couple of years and then replace it with a Stagea RS FOUR or the ridiculous Autech 260RS, because the best GT-R is a wagon.

Nice car, but it’s illegal as hell. They mention that it’s not road legal, which is true, but the DOT can still come after it. And it’ll never be legal here even if someone waits until 2023 to register it- because the 25 year rule does not apply to cars that were illegal at the time they were imported. Those cars never become legal.

TL;DR there’s a good chance this car is going to end up as scrap metal in the near future.

I want to get a Autech 260RS myself but it is far from the best GTR. It has a significant weight penalty and it doesn’t have the GTR suspension.

When I get one I plan on running track and autocross with it. Can’t wait until they are legal. I’ll take the back seats out and try to lower it’s weight, which funny enough will open a ton of room to haul shit.

More on topic what people should want over this Pulsar is the GTIR. That car is nuts.

As a track only car, it’s totally legal.

No, it isn’t. To import a race car permanently, it has to be originally manufactured as a race car, and lacking any features that would allow it to be used on the road. This N1 spec Pulsar was sold to consumers, and features head and tail lamps, indicators, and license plate holders among other things.

I never said it was the fastest, but it’s certainly the coolest/most Jalop.

“the coolest/most Jalop.”

lol these two things are pretty much mutually exclusive. People here claim diesel brown wagon miatas are the “most jalop” kind of car which is bascially the anti-poon.

“Cool” is a very subjective term.
